This DK weight linen chainette is a wonderful fine yarn that is sturdy enough for delicate items and strong enough to be used for crocheted totes. While the manufacturer recommends dry cleaning after the item has been washed once and blocked, I don't see a problem with a gentle hand wash in cold water but that is your decision and hand washing a small sample would be recommended. Excellent for dyeing and gets softer with every wash. This will become one of your go to yarns and is also available in 50 gram skeins. This yarn has 135 yards per 50 gram skein, DK weight.
